I had planned a short trip to go to Cancun with my fiance and we were leaving Wednesday. Work has been really stressful - I began at the start of covid remotely and it's been rough to get adjusted. I haven't really been leaving my apartment much and needed to get away. So a hurricane hits Cancun the night before we are supposed to fly. Our airline moves our flight a few hours later and says the skies will clear by then. We get to the airport, they push the flight again 4 hours. We are waiting a long time at this point then they cancel our flight. I was on the phone with expedia trying to get a refund for everything and just overall bummed it was a 3 day trip and we wasted a day at the airport. In hindsight I wish I took more time off, but what can you do? Instead of going home, I saw there was one flight that evening leaving out of Newark to Fort Lauderdale at night, and I just booked it, and then booked a hotel by the beach, we were not going to come back home haha. Spend 8 hours total at the airport, but got to our hotel room by midnight. Anyhow, we went to the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood last night, I quickly lost $200, and when I asked for a drink, was surprised to know they charge you there (first casino I've been to that does that). I was annoyed, but we had some drinks, went to the cigar lounge, then I came back, sat at a $25 table and everything changed. I put $200 down and won around 10 hands in a row. I kept progressively increasing my bets, from $25 to $50 to $100. I got string of blackjacks back to back. Heck I started playing the side bets and won a few of those too. I kept giving $100 to my fiance to hold every time I won a hand. He had a nice large roll of $25 chips that he could barely hold in his hands and we cleared out lots of the dealers greens. My finance was holding all of my profit chips to keep me whole and made sure we walked away with at least what we came in with. The pit boss came over noticing so many green chips were missing and was suspicious I came in midshoe on a winning streak, had me color those chips in and began watching closely. I was too exhausted to even try to count the cards given the trip from the night before. As quickly as I lost the $200 at the first table, I managed to get on a winning streak and finish the shoe walking away with $1,100. It took me around 20 minutes to do it with my increasing bets. I quickly got the heck out of there. It was a blast, I'll share it was sort of nice, and definitely not expected, Glad it'll cover some of the extra cost of making a last minute trip change. These winning streak definitely don't happen often, but they sure feel nice when they do.
There are plenty of Christians all over the world who go to casinos and gamble. Many Christians gamble. It’s a fact. But in the US, casinos are illegal unless it’s in Nevada or in Indian reservations. This is mostly due to a Christian crowd. Both conservative and the liberal Christians would support the prohibition of casinos. Why can’t we have that? What’s your beef? How come so many Christians go over to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and the Hard Rock hotel in Fort Lauderdale but won’t support legalization for the whole country? Lets not forget about Christians in France, Italy and many other countries were its totally legal. The Bible doesn’t prohibit casinos and gambling at all but rather says that love of money is bad and that being obsessed with it is sinful. But it was quite likely that the early Christians gambled. Especially the Greek speaking ones living in Antioch and Alexandria, cities famous for their resorts and laid back lifestyle. If you have no beef with casinos, would you support the legalization of it for the whole country?
I recently finished renovating a condo so that my mom can retire, rent it, and live off of it. She’s worked very hard all her life and not had much (I mean she’s had the essentials which is a lot more than others), I was hoping she enjoy the last half of her life without having to work hard just to get by. The issue is the pandemic happened just as I finished and we paused from putting the apartment for rent until we were sure everything that was happening. Unfortunately, we can’t just let the apartment sit there not producing income while still paying maintenance and property taxes. She and I are new to renting other than my mom renting out our previous house when in dire need and having the tenants live there for months’ rent-free while not being able to evict them right away. I was hoping I could get some help/some questions answer. Property Information Location: Miami Gardens, FL 2nd floor (top floor) Condo in Senior Neighborhood (Age requirements 55+, no children under 16) Square feet: 910 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room, Balcony, 2 front entrances, Personal Parking Space, Dishwasher, Hardwood Floors, View to the surrounding canal. Community clubhouse and pool, building washers and dryers. A few minutes from Turnpike, I-95, Palmetto (826), US1, US7, US9, I-75 15-20 minutes from both Miami and Fort Lauderdale airport 15-20 minutes from Sunny Isles, Golden Beach, Haulover Park/Beach. (30 from Miami Beach) 10-25 minutes from malls and casinos including: Aventura Mall, Sawgrass Mall, Bal Harbour Shops, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino, and Hard Rock Stadium. Now the questions I have:
Should I use Zillow, Trulia, Realtor.com, Craigslist, Cozy, Zumper, Hotpads, Facebook’s Marketplace, Oodle, Rentals.com, Apartments.com, Rent.com, TurboTenant? Why? Why not?
Should I get a realtor or should we just try our luck on these websites?
What information above should I out in the listing? What should I remove?
What laws should we be aware of as landlords? Or someone putting something up for rent? (I don’t mind reading so a simple link or name, I can do the research)
What inspections should we have done before renting?
What forms should the applicants fill out?
What forms should the renters fill out? (once rented)
Should we wait longer to rent while the pandemic is still in an unpredictable state?
Are there any protections as landlords while the pandemic is active?
My mom just doesn’t want to go through the situation she did before and was hoping for a smoother process/outcome. Any other information is appreciated. Thank you in advance for all the help. TL/DR Need any advice on renting a Condo in Miami Gardens, FL

What should I expect at my first time in a casino ?
So I haven’t been to a casino before but I’m thinking about it this weekend or next. I’m 24 in south Florida in the US so I’m legal to do whatever. I don’t intend to go with anyone - just something I want to do alone. I’ve looked as to dress codes and what I need to get in, but I’m not sure what to “expect” when I walk in. For specific context, I’m looking at going to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Fort Lauderdale, or the Magic City Casino in Miami.
Hi all, I'll be moving to the southern Florida (ideally Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood) this summer (May - July) to play poker full time at the Hard Rock Casino. I'm looking for someone to stay with (I'll pay of course). If anyone has an extra room or knows of somebody who is looking for a roommate, let me know! More about me: I'm a 20 year old male college student. I play and study very seriously and have made 4 digits playing .25/50 online with a solid win rate. I've also played live multiple times and done well. I have built up a bankroll for 2/5 and want to take my shot. You have to be 21 to play poker in my state. I'm a very easy guy to live with -- I'm social, I cook, clean, and am easygoing. I've been to Fort Lauderdale and Miami before and I absolutely love the area. Hopefully I can find someone to stay with :). If not, does anyone have advice for resources to find what I'm looking for? Thanks!

Lately we've been having a somewhat large amount of people posting in here asking about the area, and etc. So I figured I'd make something like this. On Traveling The BB&T Center is located in Sunrise, FL (my hometown, nbd) the closest airport to fly into would be FLL or Fort Lauderdale International. From FLL to Sunrise is about 15-30 minutes depending on how much traffic you hit. Flying into Miami International will yield different results, it's roughly 45-1hr on the turnpike. I've seen someone ask about biking once, not feasible at all. On parking Don't pay for it if you're going to the game, don't dooooooo it. 99% of us here and anyone who goes to Panther games would advise you to just park at Sawgrass Mills Mall/Giant parking lot, literally right across the street from the BB&T, like, literally right across the street. Unless your ticket came with a parking pass or something and you would like to use it like a big shot. On the area Well the previously mentioned Sawgrass Mills Mall is pretty dope. I believe it's the largest mall in the state, but I could be wrong. It has a movie theater, loads of shopping and restaurants. There's a Gameworks place, a Billiards bar, and most importantly a Barbie Dreamhouse. Not too far from Sunrise is Flamingo Gardens which is a wildlife sanctuary, and as most anyone growing up in the area can tell you it's pretty cool, cause they have probably done service hours there. I know I have. If you're staying in Ft. Lauderdale than you're living it up. Not too far from Sunrise, not too far from Miami if you want to make the trip, also Ft. Lauderdale has plenty to do, there's Las Olas Boulevard, the Museum of Science and Discovery, Seminole Hard Rock Casino. You're close to the beach, the night life is good, there's more restaurants and bars than I can probably count. And Lauderdale-by-the-sea is dope. It's a good time. On Hockey The most important part. If you're a visiting fan, no one will bother you unless you're a dick, or unless someone is a drunk asshole and they bother you. Both chances are small. If you want to wear a jersey from a team not playing go ahead, I've seen it loads of times. And most importantly have fun! That's all just a pretty quick put together guide of the area. If people got more stuff to add or if I missed something or my info was incorrect go right on ahead and comment!

Jan Flato was playing the slots at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Fort Lauderdale. Since Navarro was the one who pushed the button, casino managers concluded the jackpot was actually hers. This revelation didn't go over well for both parties: Navarro exited stage left with the money and Flato was left wondering what the hell just happened. After making off with the winnings, Flato says Navarro ignored his texts and calls, thus proving that friendship is free until there are hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table. For her part, Navarro told WSVN she was prepared to share some of the winnings with Flato until he sent her threatening text messages saying "Having [him] as an enemy" was "Not good." CNN has reached out to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino for comment.
